What REDFi is not, so there are no surprises
- Not a bank
- REDFi is a technology company. Payment services are provided by Bridge, a licensed money transmitter owned by Stripe. We verify every customer and every account uses a security code.
- No incoming ACH
- Your client pays you with a domestic US wire or in stablecoins. If they can only pay by ACH, it is not for you yet.
- No local-currency conversion yet
- In Costa Rica, Chile and Uruguay we do not convert to colones or pesos. Your dollars stay dollars.
Frequently asked questions
What does it cost?
Opening your account is free. Before you confirm any movement you see the exact cost, with no hidden fees. You see your prices when you sign up.
Do I need to live in the US or have an SSN?
No. You do not need a US address, bank account or Social Security number. We give you your account details after verifying your identity.
Who can pay me?
Any person or company with a US bank account that can send a domestic wire. You can also receive USDC or USDT.
How long does a payment take?
Usually minutes, once the banking network processes the wire. You see it in your app as soon as it arrives.
What are REDFi Rewards?
Promotional rewards on the balance you hold in USDB. They are not interest, banking yield or investment returns.
Why do you ask for my ID and a security code?
Because it is a real financial account. Verifying your identity is required, and the code protects your money even if someone knows your password.
Is it for people or companies?
Both. Freelancers and remote workers open a personal account; companies open a business account.
