Security & Compliance
What REDFi Is, What It Is Not, and Who Does What
All payments and financial rails are supported and safeguarded through compliant, qualified service providers. REDFi is a financial technology platform, not a bank. This page sets out how your account is protected, who provides the underlying services, how verification and screening work, and the risks that come with holding a dollar-denominated stablecoin balance.
Roles
Who does what
A clear split matters more than a long list of logos.
| Function | Who performs it |
|---|---|
| The platform, dashboard and support | REDFi |
| Identity and business verification (KYC/KYB) | Carried out through regulated partners |
| Payment rails and settlement | Regulated financial partners |

Protection
How accounts are protected
- AES-256 encryption
- Encryption at rest and in transit
- Bank-grade security
- Real-time transaction monitoring
- 24/7/365 fraud monitoring
- Transaction screening
REDFi does not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any penetration-testing certification. If a certification is not named on this page, REDFi does not hold it.
What happens to money you receive
All supported incoming fiat and stablecoins are automatically converted to USDB. This applies to every verified and active account with a supported custodial wallet in a supported jurisdiction. Your dashboard shows the balance as USDB. It is not held as a fiat balance, and it is not a bank deposit.
Who is eligible
Open to eligible individuals and businesses. Subject to KYC/KYB, country availability, compliance review, and partner approval.
The 86 listed countries support pay-ins and payouts, including supported fiat and stablecoins. See the full country list, which is the source of truth for where REDFi is available.

Common questions
Is REDFi a bank?
No. REDFi is a financial technology platform, not a bank. All payments and financial rails are supported and safeguarded through compliant, qualified service providers.
Who verifies my identity?
Identity and business verification is carried out through REDFi's regulated partners as part of onboarding. Verification is required before an account can send or receive.
Why was I asked for more documents?
Compliance review can request additional information at any point in the relationship, not only at signup. This is normal for regulated financial services and applies to individuals and businesses.
Why might a payment be delayed or held?
Transactions are screened. A payment can be held for review, returned, or refused depending on the parties involved, the destination, and the jurisdiction. Settlement time also varies by rail and partner availability.
Are my balances insured?
No. Balances are held as USDB, a dollar-denominated stablecoin, not as a bank deposit. Digital assets carry risk.
Where is REDFi not available?
Availability is by jurisdiction and is listed on the Countries page. Some jurisdictions are restricted entirely.
